// Apple sauce in specialty bottles- check out this wicked sweet Cinderella.  I think it was called Yummy Tummies.
// These nails. Omg Influenster- the only time I think I've ever worn something this ridiculous.  Wait, I did own a lot of animal print in college.
// Ashley Brooke designs created a great calendar that is so summery, it makes me smile whenever I see it on my phone.
// Loading up on some great reads on my Kindle.  These are ones that have been recommended to me time and again and I just haven't gotten to them.  The Road of Lost Innocence is about a woman who was sold into prostitution as a child and managed to escape from it.  She then created an organization to help women and children not only escape from sex slavery but to thrive in careers.  I also have Carry On, Warrior by Glennon from Momastery, Kisses for Kate about a young woman who felt called to serve in Africa and adopted like 13 children (going off memory), and Half the Sky which talks about global oppression of women.  Excited to read many of these inspirational and empowering stories.
// Target does it again- I love this cup and Henry Cavill.
// I, like many others, completely freaked out with the Game of Thrones episode, The Red Wedding. Did my jaw hit the floor, probably.  The silence as the end credits rolled was just enough time for me to rant and ask my husband, "what the hell just happened?"  Of course, all of my friends who have already read the books came me the hardest time about it.  I had honestly only heard of the series when the show came out.  I started reading the first book last summer and started watching the first few episodes.  I was hooked and couldn't read fast enough, so I put the book reading on hiatus and watched the rest of the seasons.  The very next day, I went to Barnes and Noble and picked up the next two books (there's five from what I know) and I'm determined to read the entire series.  I cannot wait for Joffrey's wedding on the season finale (or at least I'm told that's what this episode should be). I feel like something really bad is going to happen. If you know, don't spoil it!
// People will kill you over time. And how they'll kill you is with tiny, harmless phrases like, "be realistic." This quote really stuck with me when I saw it and I think several connected with it as well by the response I got Instagram.  I'm a dreamer with a set of talents and one of things I'm scared of is that they won't be put to use or that I'm not using them enough.  I think in terms of people killing you by saying "be realistic," I think that sticks with you and is in the back of your mind.  It most often comes up when you have trouble believing in yourself.
// I had the marvelous opportunity of creating some elements for one of my best friends and her upcoming wedding.  I'm the Matron of Honor and I've been scheming with the Maid of Honor, Kristen to plan a great bachelorette party.  Emily, the bride, is one of my absolute favorite people in this wide world and I wanted her invites to be special.  I searched Pinterest but they all kind of looked similar and then it hit me.
// Why not create an invitation like a clothelines of panties? It's fun, sassy, and a cute invite! I'll have the how-to up later this week.
// It didn't stop with the invites though and busted out my sewing machine to tackle the next project.  I totally forgot that Blu has never seen a sewing machine and as I turned it on, he went inbetween me and the "great beast" to protect me.  It was pretty darn cute.  He also decided that his 55 lbs. body should lay in my lap as I sewed. He's only 5-months and is so adorable.  I hope he stays this cuddly even when he turns into a Dire Wolf (GOT reference) ;)
// Another how-to will be up this week on making a sassy bachelorette party veil.  I had way too much fun with this and had to vaccum my house twice as it was covered in glitter.  However, the DIY project will not be covering how to create the Blue Steel look.
// It was National Donut Day on Friday and I must say, I love learning about fun, random holidays through Instagram.  I picked myself a pink strawberry donut and a maple one, both of them raised. They were so delicious!

  1. Kisses for Kate is on my kindle! I just haven't gotten there.... My daughter loves the apple sauce pouches and I have to say- drinking applesauce makes me wonder why we've ever eaten it any other way?!?!? I love it!

  2. Those bottles are juice -- but so fun! My kids love them, and think of them as a special occasional treat! The best part is that the bottles are dishwasher safe, as are the toppers, so you can keep them for awhile and resuse them!!
