1. Opportunities look like hard work.
2. The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart and being thoughtful and being really generous.
3. Everything around us that we call life was made up by people who are no smarter than you. So build a life, don't just live one.
I so appreciated a celebrity speaking to young people about things that really matter.
Just a head's up--the video in this post is not working. It says it's been removed by YouTube.
ReplyDeleteI saw the speech before it went viral and I have to say that though he gives GREAT advice and there is such wisdom in what he is saying, the biggest flaw with it is the person saying them. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks girl! I just fixed it and it should now be viewable :)
ReplyDeleteI don't him so much now that's he's older although I couldn't stand the show, PUNK'd. I think he's a great person for this message, though, because young people recognize him and he might not be the philanthropist or role model of the hour but for him to share the message is a great thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge Ashton Kutcher fan. I'm not really a fan of his at all. But this is a really great speech! These are the types of thing kids and teens need to hear from celebrities they look up to.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Ashton as I appreciate comics and actors who make me laugh. . As a young man he married and took on 3 stepdaughters and made a life. He has many philanthropic causes he created himself and is a part of giving away millions over the years. He gives particularly on behalf of trafficked women and children. He has matured beyond Punked and just trying to be famous. His acting is improved and I think he has a long future ahead of him. This speech proves he has matured and is growing as a person. Well done and thanks for reposting it. Love Jobs. Its the best movie I have seen all year. Doing jobs you see a mature actor who has improved over the years beyond the pranks and practical jokes.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I know Demi Moore is an activist and I'm sure that's something that they related to each other with in their marriage. I've been wanting to see Jobs so I'm glad that you did a shout-out for it here. I wish more celebrities would do this more often, especially at venues like the Teen Choice Awards.
ReplyDeleteI loved this video, too! I tweeted it with the second quote you mentioned above. So good for kids to hear!
